Square Root Formula (also referred to as Second Root)
Value to the Second Root =
_____
2√ x
Where x is the value you solving for.
NOTE:
Square root can be represented by all of the following: 2√x = √x = x1/2 = sqrt(x)
The square root of 16 (or √16 or 161/2) is 4
You can confirm this answer by multiplying 4 * 4, which = 16.
The square root of 25 (or √25 or 251/2) is 5
Double check by finding 52, which = 25.
The square root can be found in a lot of mathematical formulas. Some of my favorite equations that have the square root in the formula are:
- Quadratic Equation
- Center of Gravity
